The bride’s dress and the outfit for the bridesmaids. The has a nice glossy magazine feel to it, and we look forward to the day ahead.
Jewellery on its own can be enough for a fine wedding photo. It’s something about sharp lines and reflecting light, which work well when the background is soft focused.
A few of the bride’s effects. Flowers, those perfect shoes, the right scent, and a photo to show that it’s theirs.
Champagne with the bridesmaids. Such a sense of solidarity.
The bride’s garter. We like all those tiny details.
Just the bride and her dress in profile, because that is enough to look great.
The tuxedo, because those sharp lines look suave and sophisticated.
The invitation, the grooms ring, the personal message from the bride, this captures what the wedding photography is all about.
A few black and white images of the groom and his friends. The black and white gives a more formal look, even when the people are being playful.
We were happy to capture this view of the whole church, all the guests and relatives, as the bride was about to be given away. And what a chandelier!
Exit the church as newlyweds, as the guests throw rice and confetti.
We like to get a few outdoor photos around the Sydney Rocks area, and were lucky to get some great lighting through the trees. Nice to have such a photogenic couple.
The rustic look of old stone stairways around the rocks has a wonderful old-fashioned feel. Always good to have the bride and groom on the stairs.
An open top white Rolls-Royce, such a classic look for a wedding car.
And getting the whole wedding party in the photo. Good to get some spontaneous happy moments, and not just the formal look of everybody standing in a row.
We like to get a little artsy with some soft focus back and white imagery.
The wedding table at the receptions. Such a warm and open look. A very nice contrasting dark and light colour scheme, quite different from the usual all white décor.
And with the lit candles giving a soft orange glow we had the perfect backdrop for the happy couples first dance. We love the colour and symmetry here.
Mirrors, stairways and lights – we had to capture the bride and groom in this way. Shades of the artist Escher here.
Serenaded to live music, because it’s not just something for old movies and poetry.
That champagne pouring trick we sometime hear about. Okay, so it apparently works.
Even in black and white it looks too good to be real – the mist on the dance floor, the hanging lights.
And have a playful moment for the bride as she sprays the guests, because wedding a fun as well as grand.
Departing in an elevator has a nice symbolism to it.
We all wish Cassandra and Paul the happiest future together.
