The bride’s ring, elegant even on its own, and even more so in this neat little setting.

Amazing how just a pair of shoes and a garter in an image can show that this is a wedding photo. Of course, it has to be the just the right pair of shoes.

Reading the groom’s message at the start of the day, to remind the bride and groom to be what a wedding and relationship is really all about.

Champagne, or at least a toast, with the bridesmaids still in their casual sleepwear. No wedding photography should leave this out.

And those same bridesmaids now in their matching dresses, admiring the bride in her dress.

All wedding photography needs that bridal portrait. It’s an all-white image with the dress, bouquet, candles, and the background; but it looks great, especially that train. Part of the photographer’s art here is capturing the right facial expression.

And just the bride on her own, because that’s all we need for a fine portrait.

The brides train, enough for half a dozen assistants.

Now the groom has the toast with his family and friends. Nice to see that cigars still occasionally appear at weddings.

The groom’s suit, suave even on its own.

The right cufflinks, the flower in the breast pocket – details make all the difference.

On a motorcycle, because a groom should be comfortable with all that is masculine.

Leaving the church, now as a married couple. The wedding photographer has to be alert to capture these spontaneous and precious moments.

Inside the Marble Bar, one of our favourite locations for Sydney wedding photos.

Such lush looking golden light, it makes wedding photography a joy, even without all that finely detailed woodwork.

A nice sense of symmetry here, and all the background detail makes the image feel warm and richer.

Every bridesmaid has to get a few wedding photos on their phone. It’s a little meta when we photograph the photographers.

With the bridesmaids again, who always make for a joyful looking image.

A quiet moment with the bride amid the sound and lights, before the sound and lights go on. There are so many great backgrounds in this venue, with that stained glass and warm golden lighting. We like how the black equipment looks like shadows.

Again, such great backgrounds with the stained-glass windows, the fine details on the columns.

Outside now. There should be more wedding photos out there that feature fountains.

Bride and groom behind a veil, being both private and public, intimate and open.

Inside the Chateau Reale Lounge at Doltone House, Sylvania Waters for the reception. Those flower arrangements on the ceiling and head table were incredible.

The same flower arrangement in a different light, for an almost old-fashioned sepia type of image.

One of the essential wedding photos that we look forward to – the cake. There are so many variations on white, and this has an especially nice texture.

The dining arrangements are the type of detail that the wedding guests tend to remember. Very impressive settings in the Chateau Reale Lounge, with more of those white flower arrangements.

The bride and groom have their first dance together. Such a nice effect with the mist on the floor and the candlelight.

Dancing still amid the mist and those light effects, which complemented the flowers on the ceiling. Good to have a saxophonist for some live music.

Okay, so the groom tosses the bouquet to a hopeful group of friends. Not sure if this is being comical of just defying tradition. Probably both!
We all wish Veronica and Vincent the best for their future together. May these wedding photos always remind them where their journey started.
