All those fine dresses and shoes for the bride and the flower girl Such a sense of purpose and solidarity with matching dresses. And such a sense of anticipation for the day.

The bridal dress, elegant and positioned in front of family photos and those bridesmaid dresses.

Shoes on a grand piano. Not a juxtaposition we often see, but we think it works well. Both the shoes and the piano are very refined.

Ahh, the rings, the jewellery, the coco Chanel perfume. Nice to have some soft focus for the background.

A diamond on its own can look impressive enough that we don’t need anything else in the image. But we still like to capture the reflection and play of light.

Perhaps a sign of upper-class appeal, but even the look of fine champagne is impressive.

Preparation for today with the bride’s makeup, with the past represented by photos on wall behind us. For some reason the soft focus looked best here.

Embroidering the date of the wedding on the robe. We like this touch.

The bride certainly had a large entourage. A great feeling to be part of this couple’s wedding day.

Reading the message from the groom, which is partly tradition, and partly the individual couples’ unique experience and feelings.

With the flower girl. Perhaps this is where the idea of a mini-me came from.

The bride, make up and dress complete, as she is to appear for the rest of the day.

Sometime sit is just nice to capture the right light through the window.

The groom and his party serenade with some live instruments. This has become popular lately, perhaps a revival of an older tradition, and we rather like it.

Inside the Our Lady of Victories Church at Horsley Park. A very pleasing combination of older stained glass window design with warm open space. This is nicely lit for some great photos.

Marching down the aisle now as a married couple. It’s good to get so many of the guests in the background.

Okay. We need a passionate embrace at the last moment to leave on.

Underneath the ‘forgotten songs’ sculpture at Angel Place. We like the sense of space this give a photograph.

And we like to get artsy with some blurred black and white images in the wedding photos every now and then.

A few more light-hearted photos with the wedding party, because this captures the joyful atmosphere of the day.

On the waterfront, getting a postcard type image with the bride looking into he sunset.

Reception at Le montage in Sydney. We’ve photographed many fine wedding receptions here.

The newlywed couple, alone in the reception hall. A nice symmetry here.

And entering the reception hall, greeted by the guests. More of that live music to give some atmosphere.

The newlyweds first dance together as a couple. Always a good moment.

Capturing the right expression on their face is part of the photographer’s art.

The bride adopted a more playful dress before the traditional toss of the bouquet.

Leaving in style in a white Rolls Royce.
We certainly all wish Claudia and Khalid the very best for the future together.
